
Immigration and emigration rates
Net Migration Rate: the migrations rate indicates the number of people that get in or get out our country in terms of residential mode. Colombian migration rate for 2015 was -0,64 migrant(s)/1,000 populatiowhich mean that the country is not open to the arrival of foreigners who want to stay for long time in the nation. This rate also indicates that Colombia would not have overpopulation problems.
Emigration: According to ElPais newspaper, Colombia is the country with the highest number of emigrants in South America, for 2013 the 4,6% of the total of the country population were stablished abroad. The World Banks describes that 2.122.100 lives outside the country.
