Legislation on equal employment

The equal employment in Colombia is a matter that still causes controversy; certain economic sectors do not consider that women have the same capabilities as men to play some charges.

 

In Colombia, since 1970 has sought an equal treatment, just and dignified for men and women in their places of work and in relation with their heads and colleagues.

 

The fight against discrimination in the workplace is constant, companies tend to be sued by the following types of labor discrimination: “racial and ethnic origin religion and belief, disability, sexual orientation, age and gender, etc.”

 

The Ministry of Labor had recently established a subcommittee that looks for the equal treatment for all Colombians, the subcommittee has as its goal to implement equity in the workplace in the areas: "work with a gender approach, labor with in reparation of victims of the armed conflict approach and labor with a focus on repatriation and suspension of forced labor national and international.” 

 

In the travel and tourism agencies is fully abides by the rules and laws issued by the Ministry and the purpose is to improve the working atmosphere within the organization.
