
Attitude toward customer sevice
The nation was forced to improve its industry in terms as customer service because of the Free Trades Agreements and the entrance of great competitors. Also, the Foreign Trade Ministry starts to demand minimal standards in services and products to the organizations. For 2011, according to Portafolio website, Colombia is a leader in customer service training due this subject is teach in universities and in methodologist distance training.
However, all the implementations and initiatives that the government has made, the customer service in the country is poor. According to Pulzo website the bad customer service has become customary and the identity that protects the rights of consumers has started to look carefully the cases of abuses by private and not private organizations. The newspaper ElColombiano describes that the customer service in Colombia doesn’t exist because one call to a bank, for example, can last 45 minutes while the complaint gets lost due advisors needs to consult all the time with their superior.
