Pollution control

In the country's air pollution has become a major

environmental problems; the deterioration of air quality has led it

increase the negative effects on human health and the environment.

The concentrations of some pollutants in the atmosphere above

standards set by environmental standards over long periods of exposure, have generated need to continue promoting the management of air quality to protect the health of the population and the environment.

Although instruments have been developed in the last decade to control pollution air, has been the need to develop a policy of prevention and control of pollution air so as to maintain and strengthen the coordinated management of all actors involved the management of air quality and coherence, consistency and ensure harmony with the policies and environmental and industry regulations through coordination and participation spaces. In this way the country can concentrate and focus efforts in a structured way to combat the current problems, promoting steady progress towards achieving levels acceptable air quality.

The goals of this pollution control are: regulate air pollutants that can affect human health and welfare of the population , setting appropriate levels to protect the health of the population and human welfare. Identify the main sources of emissions of pollutants that affect health and human welfare. Establish, promote and strengthen strategies to prevent and minimize the generation of pollutant emissions and noise to the atmosphere. Strengthen coordination spaces , participation and training involving different actors involved in the prevention and control of air pollution and continue the implementation of international commitments made by the country and increase taking advantage of the opportunities offered by multilateral agreements environment, related to prevention and control of air pollution.
