Since 2010 in the Havana they are negotiating the conditions that allow end a conflict of more than 50 years between the Colombian government and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia ( FARC ) .

 

In the 2013, Colombia recorded an increase in attacks on infrastructure , the country experienced a year of overall decline in terrorist activity, said the annual report on terrorism introduced for the United States Department of State.

Based on reports from the Colombian government , which said there was a decline of 7 % in the terrorist attacks compared to 2012, it recorded 894 attacks.

 

Nowadays the terrorism in Colombia has decreased 28% because
since peace any terrorist act has been decreasing in the country although it is still evident in rural areas attacks by organizations outside the law, but the decline is remarkable.

 

The FARC , the oldest guerrilla group in Latin America , negotiate with the government in Havana a peace process to end the internal armed conflict which has over half a century .

 

the retirement of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia FARC from the list of terrorist organizations drawn up by Washington, depend on the total disarmament of the guerrilla group and the abandonment of illegal activities.
