People who enjoy quite free time take advantage of it in different ways, one of them is to travel, and tourism agencies have their periods of sale in the high seasons, as are June and December.

 

During high season the price of vacation packages increase fairly, that makes many people wait for low season to travel.

However, according to the DANE, Colombians have increased their travel during the leisure time, today, the leisure time of Colombians increases domestic tourism as well as the number of jobs that arise during the holiday season in the country, mainly in Holy Week.

 

The survey made by DANE shows that: “Colombians are traveling, in its majority of leisure 46.6%, by business in a 44% and to participate in conventions and training topics in a 6.1%. For foreigners who come to Colombia the percentage is different, mostly business travelers 50.9%, while that for leisure makes only a 36.9%"

 

 

 

According to the internationally famous application Trip Advisor, in Colombia there are 10 places creditors of "Excellence" where nationals and foreigners can spend their leisure time.
